Rail container logistics between China, Central Asia and Afghanistan. Afghan-owned since 2019.

01Approach

02The bridge

A corridor is a narrow thing that connects two worlds.

The Wakhan Corridor is a narrow strip of high country in Afghanistan's Badakhshan, reaching east until it touches China. It is the company's namesake and the reason for its mark: a single unbroken line that crosses itself.

The company's container operations run north and west, through Hairatan and Torghundi.

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Kabul, Wakhan Corridor is a fully Afghan-owned rail container logistics and transit forwarding company.

Cross-gauge transfer

Managed interchange between rail networks of differing gauge — critical for landlocked corridor container movements.

Two rail networks of different standards meet at the border. The container is lifted across, and nothing else about it changes.
